BALOO my not so expedition 90!

hi guys,
we manufactured the light surrounds ourselves, starting by removing the light boxes in the wings and making our own. thinking we could never afford a 90 we started with something that needed a little! bit of work. we repaired and blasted the chassis, media blasted and repaired the bulkhead and inner wings then galvanised.
we had to build a vehicle that looked different to anything before, basically to show our metalwork to all. wheel arches, rack, bumper, grille, rear ladder, side windows and steps are all ours. thanks for your interest, we are very proud of our little truck.DSCI0003.jpg

DSCI0004.jpgDSCI0010.jpg slight alteration to roofline, wanted black to flow round, homemade rear door with lift off top to match side doors.

Super nice.Nice color. What size are the tires, and what kind? Does it have the original engine? Thanks

hi,
we used 265 75 16 hankooks, we dropped a 200tdi out of a disco in after having head skimmed, crack tested, valves re seated, timing belt and water pump changed, and turbo rebuilt.DSCI0008.jpgDSCI0007.jpg

will you be offering the two part rear doors for sale ? Could you include a shot as to how you flanged it on the inside. Great idea.

hi,
dont think so, think its just a sollihul registration of 1990. looks cool though, ps. managed to get a few midge signatures in tarbert last weekend, big bites for such a small thing, should have learned my lesson in invercoe 2 years ago!!!

Yeah, nasty little buggers. The only bad thing about living up here.

I know the G-WAC Discos were all press vehicles and are considered quite collectable, just wondered if your Defender was originally owned by Land Rover...?
