Bantam with Truck Rack?

Has anyone thought of or tried putting a pickup truck rack on their bantam? I want to put a RTT up there and possibly also kayaks. This looks like an easy route vs. building some rack or having one built. I don't know much about truck racks. Anyone?

Thanks,

Chris

You would need to get one for a 6' Step side bed to have the right demensions, But it should work. IDK if you have the ability to cut one down but any of them could be made to fit.

I hear a golden oportunity knocking because thats about an easy build as you can get. A cheap welder, 4 1/2" angle gringer a a framing square is all you would need. A local steel suplier will have square tubing. Cutting with the thin blades on a grinder and following the 10 page book that comes with a welder is all simple. You know you allways wanted to weld and this would be an easy but very rewarding project.

I would go for custom over a truck rack. Think Center of Gravity. the Higher you go the higher the COG goes. Not good when your trailer weighs in at 400lbs instead of 4000lbs like a normal truck would.

keep it low.
