Thanks guys.

This past weekend I picked up a new/never used Alu-Cab Shadow Awn 270* awning from a forum member here. It will go on the drivers side of the rack but I still have to figure how to mount it and not interfere with the truck box or the spring rods for the tent.

Your rig looks great :Wow1:Scoutsman with the tent out and ready for camping. What make is your tent and can you tell us about your experience with it? Also the shot of your truck under the A frame beside the Fraud really shows how superior your truck is. The Fraud looks all bling blingy kind of chinese cheap. Obviously desingned for the mall crawl crew. If I ever bought a new truck it would be something like yours. Such a fine rig! Cheers, Chilli..:)

Good looking setup. Can't wait to see the awning mounted up.
Thanks. I started on getting the awning mocked up this afternoon to figure out brackets. Need to keep it low enough to clear the spring rods on the tent but high enough to clear the toolbox lid. Forward enough to keep the rear gap tight but far enough rearward to get the rear spring rods in.

I'll be welding the mounting brackets to the rack to keep it tight. Hopefully this all works out.

Worked on placement and the rear bracket this weekend. After the second iteration I think its getting close to tack on.

I've swapped the last two arms to see if I can gain some extra clearance. Hopefully it will work out. (Don't mind the bushings/arms being out of order)

You can also see I detached the material from the last arm so it was easier to figure out forward/aft placement. The tent was shifted to the passengers side a few inches to give me a bit more room and balance things out a bit.

I love the rack, How much would you guess it weighs? and how do you remove it? I made a rack with 2x2x1/8 square for my flat bed and set it up with 4 trailer tongue jacks so I can lift it off the bed without killing my self lol
