pretty cool, but 9k? It does kinda look like a normal class c back half slapped on a 4x4 dodge truck frame. I wonder if it was factory like that or if it was modified

Back in the 70's you could order them like that, the truck camper company would buy a cab and chassis then build a larger truck camper on top.

There's what appears to be the identical model camper mounted on a vintage 2WD Chevy with duallies about 10 miles from here. Looks a little more run-down than the one on the Dodge, tho'.

It's parked right beside the road that a friend and I take for a lunch get-together every Friday. I've looked at it for about 3 years now without it ever showing a sign of moving. It struck me as an interesting coincidence that it was parked
within a mile of an early '90's Dodge Scottie, another rare RV, and also 2WD. It was parked for a few years unmoved at a local charity.

I'm thinking that the Dodge in the listing may be a bit of an overload on the rear tires with SRW's, tho'. That's gotta be a pretty heavy camper.

It could be a bit overloaded, lots of these were duallys, maybe some one changed to single rear wheel. Yes a cummins swap would be cool but this thing is pretty close to heaven the way it is, Tho the 440 would be stronger the 360 is factory, at the end of the days travel as it is you look in the mirror and the mopar will be cumminsmiley_drive: )along.....................:drool: this is one cool rig

That is a nice setup and looking at the rear tires, it does kinda look as if it probably started off as a dually. The idea of a Cummins does seem nice. I'm kinda like you, part of me just wants to scream Mopar or NoCar..........
