Beijing Jeep 2500 clip conversion?

What do you think? There is some talk of a group buy on some parts, i'm on the fence about picking up a front clip.

I like to be a little "different" but i dont know about this..

John, I think you need to post a pic of your XJ so folks know what it would be going on. I think the conversion looks good on that very clean, silver Jeep, but I'm not sure how it would look with the olive drab theme you're going with...or is this for another XJ?

I was thinking about setting my cherokee up with that front clip, but decided not to. It would be difficult to match an aftermarket bumper to it without some major modifications. Replacing broken parts or dented fender wouldn't be nearly as cheap or easy as using cherokee parts. It would look pretty cool, but I figured that my budget would be better spent on something a little more functional.

i'm not really sure if it's ugly or cool...(????????????)

I'm with Sven. Here in the US, you wouldn't be able to pull into a gas station without someone asking about it. But in my opinion, its really hideous, buck-toothed, disproportionate, and doesn't complement the utilitarian lines of the XJ.

If you're going to change the appearance of your Jeep just to be different, I think you should forgo the "bolt-on ugly" 2500 clip, and fabricate something using your own craftsmanship and ingenuity - like this guy did.

Come to think of it, I've always liked the Casablanca concept - or at least certain aspects of it. Maybe its the Land Rover enthusiast in me.

It's different for sure... but i do like it. We'll see what the price comes in at once shipping is added in. But i'm seriously considering it.

OK Photoshop guru's... how DO you change the color without coloring in the Jeep. Color replacement tool?
