If that post was the last thing you did but don't see it, try hitting the browser back button before you do anything else. Also the forum has an 'auto save' and a 'restore feature' which may bring it back.

Thanks for the info on the headliner. I don't have anything that needs to be recovered right now, but good to know for future use.

Here we go again...

Old new vs New new. Same amount of leaves but much more arch. Leaves "may" be a bit thicker but it was hard to tell without taking a measuring device to it and I lacked the ambition. Doesn't matter anyway because the proof in the pudding as they say will be when they're mounted.

Eight leaves, old ones and new ones.

Shovel looking thingies: Har har HARDEE har har. At least I can I can walk from my house to my shop in the middle of July without looking like a roast chicken by the time I get there. :p

Sorry to go back to raptor liner but im thinkiing of doing it myself. Did you use upol's self etching/acid etch primer for any bare metal spots or your diamond plate before shooting the raptor?
Thanks

No, when I went to the automotive paint store to get mask and what-not I just asked them for a good self etching in a spray can. If you have a lot that needs sprayed then I'd buy it in bulk instead of ready to spray. In my case I didn't have a lot of bare metal to shoot and the aluminum wasn't too extensive either. I believe I shot everything with 2 cans, maybe 3 tops.

New springs are in. First one was a bear just because of the learning curve and figuring out the "steps" and what order they should be done in. Second side went in way faster and a whole lot easier, but good grief them things are nut-bustin heavy.

Good news is it took care of the rear end sag, with the butt now sitting a bit high, and the lean appears to be gone. Woo-freakin-hoo because I disliked that more than the overall sag.

They might settle enough to leave me a bit low, but I doubt as low as before, and if it does I'll probably bag it.

As soon as I find a good spot to pose I'll take a couple pics.

Tom, don't forget air bags can be a big asset when it comes to leveling the rig at a campsite too, especially if you have individual valves for each side.

Mine came with them and has separate valve stems mounted in the tag recessed area below the tag lights. I do not have an installed compressor or any way to inflate them yet, but I may be adding a compressor for this. Of course, a tire pump would work too.

This photo was taken right after the new axle was installed and there is no air in the bags.

The hoses go straight from the bags to the valve stems below the tag lights, and are not tied together anywhere.

Pat, have you noticed that Foster has a small, 12 volt compressor listed as surplus?

Yes Bob I did, and we even discussed it via email. I was going to call about it, but never got around to it. I should probably go ahead and order it before it gets away.

I forgot that we ever discussed it - I'm getting old, it would seem...

I often wonder how many times I was not quite in time to get something? Lets see - there's JIT (just in time), there's NOT (not on time), there's NIT (nick of time), and lastly forgettaboutit.

Wellll, got to pull (at least partially) my rear springs again. I'll get out and get some pictures to show you why you never work on your junk when you're drunk and high on crack.

Major bummage.

Hey tgreening... I did a search for Whelen 97 and this thread came up, but in the 87 (!) pages I didn't spot it. Do you have the 97-series single-screw lights on your rig?
