Best 4Runner Under 8K? late 90s, early 2000s?

I loved my 3rd gen to death. I had the SR5 5 spd with e-locker. but a couple of really long road trips in that truck made me hate driving for a while.

It's all about perspective. Coming from a 1st gen 4Runner my 3rd gen is SOOO much nicer and long trips are much more pleasant. Not as much fun as my FR-S, but it's a truck.
