Best Campgrounds near Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park

Planning on taking a trip late August or early September to Black Canyon. Taking my wife and 1 y.o. daughter in our newly built SoCal XS510. We plan on going with my in-laws and they require electric hookups for their 5th wheel. So I would like to hear suggestions for everyone's favorite campsites that are near Black Canyon and have electric hookups. Thanks in advance!

i was through there years ago I am meeting with a friend to help him plan a trip through that area, I will go through my notes and let you know. We had one spot in particular that we likes which had tent and rv camping with a great view down a hill to the lake. We still talk about it even though it was on the grid.

No hookups IIRC but the north rim of the canyon offers some of the best views.

Montrose Colorado is your closest town. I lived in Ridgway (1/2hr South) for 13 years so I don't have much camping experience by Montrose, however when we are visiting a new area we use Campendium to find sites. Here is a quick search I did. They usually have pretty good descriptions and reviews:
