Best engine for Land Cruiser Troopy

I'm just curious. The original post says they want to be able to occasionally pull a trailer with a car. Are any of the Toyota diesels going to be up for that?

I'd wonder about the chassis, suspension, brakes also

I thought they used them in some of the SA but may be wrong?

In Colombia, Troopies come with the 1GR-FE engine...
