In the Denver, Colo. area there is MIT Automotive (http://www.mitautomotive.com/) in Evergreen and British 4x4 (http://www.british4x4ltd.com/) in Aurora. I would trust either of them completely. There is another independent shop that is tied to the local Rover club, but I would view them as a last resort.

In Minnesota you have to visit Expedition Autoworks located just outside of Minneapolis in St. Louis Park. More experience on Rovers than anybody else and they are enthusiasts too.
