  • Tailored fit to an LC80
Can you tell me what you use, why, $, and where to get'em?

I brought back some escape gear ones from south africa and really like them. they have rear pockets but there not an issue. also have a small pocket on the out side of the seat where i keep my tire deflators. Not sure if you can get them here but great quality

These are good:

They put up with drillers and the like, all day every day. Normally last at least a few years (in industry) and although they don't stop the stuffing in the seat wearing out, atleast the still look nice when the covers come off.

Have you looked into Wet Okole seat covers?

Very high quality neoprene. Waterproof and pretty durable.

You can get them in light colors.

They make them custom to fit your vehicle; so, they don't move around and come loose.

I even think that Wil and Wendy carry them or can order them for you.

They're probably a bit pricier than a lot of others out there, but for waterproofness, durability, and fit I don't think you'll be dissapointed.

I just put a set of the SOR Tuf-Duc covers in the Troopy...nicer than expected, and excellent fit.

...and yes, I do need to update my thread....:088:

I have a set of the SOR seat covers in my FJ60 and between myself, my co workers, the baby and the dog they are holding up handsomely. :victory:

Everybody has been raving about those SOR covers and when I helped a buddy install them I wasn't too impressed. They seem to be tough enough but at the expense of comfort and fit. As time passed and they wore in (not wore out) I began to change my tune. They are a lot like a set of Carhartts. They are not exactly fashion wear but are work clothes that last and last and last and fit better with time.

My main concern about the SOR covers is that I have the leather seats and they seem to have higher side bolsters on the upright section of the seat. The covers in the pictures don't seem to go that "deep" into the seat to follow the contour.

I've been running them in my 100 series for a while now. I love them, they've held up great and they do "mold" to the seat contour after a while.

Hey Scott - long time, gotta catch up soon.

We're talking with Sandstorm about bringing in seat covers from Kenya (made for the safari industry) for a few standard makes, including your 80. Pricing TBD but buying them there, custom made with leather trim, runs under or around $300.

Just a thought. I'll keep you in the loop about the progress -

Hey Roseann, are they available for all 3 seating rows by any chance?
