Best Pop-up

Hello EP,

I would like start researching pop-ups for my new Silverado HD.

It has the 6.5 ft bed so I am going to entertain 6.5-8ft campers.

I value functionality, durability, and quality over bling.

I am also thinking lighter is better.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

FWC or ATC. FWC has more bling. ATC is a more basic and a little dated for less money. Either one is very durable and I believe they are some of the lightest.

Your in the right place. Tons of info on this topic is spread throughout this forum and has been covered over and over again.
get a big cup of coffee and wear out that each function.
Your gonna love whatever one you get once you start using it! Welcome

Where do you want to travel? Any off road driving? Any trips to Alaska? Every camper has its strengths and weaknesses. Your choice should depend on what you want to do with it.

Wander the West has a heavy focus on pop up truck campers. My personal preference is ATC for their simple, solid construction, and their willingness to do custom work for the client. I've seen very few if any complaints about an ATC camper. They're also less expensive than FWC. When you call ATC, your talking to/working with the owners of the company.

I've owned both, and find the ATC does a better job of meeting my needs.

Hi don't have any experience with either FWC or ATC. I would take into consideration where the CoG will end up if you put an 8foot camper in a 6.5 foot bed. Not to mention getting in and out.
