Best RTT for not a lot of $$$

Viggen

Just here...
Did a search and returned a lot of hits but nothing too helpful. Looking for the best RTT but not looking to spend a lot of money on it. Is there anything good and quality for 800-1400? I dont care if its a fold up or a hard cased one. Looking to pick up a Disco with an SD rack on it as my 2nd car/ weekend camp truck and want a tent. Thanks in advance.

Hey Viggen,
You can get a brand new Howling Moon from us for around that. Give me a call and I'll set you up!

Does anyone know anything about http://www.cartopcamper.com
They look similar to camping labs and ARB.

Camping labs - list a polyester rip stop fabric,
Car Top Campers - list the fabric as a poly cotton blend.
ARB - list a 300 gram/meter Poly/Cotton rip-stop canvas with Poly coating.

The cartopcamper looks just like an gen2 Mombasa, which was somewhat similar to the ARB Simpson II but is leaps behind the newest Simpson III offering imo (fabric, design, hinges, pole material, etc). I have not seen the latest versions of the Camping Labs but the Mombasa and Camping Labs were very similar in their earlier forms. Given that he is apparenty drop shipping the tents from TX where Mombasa is located, I can only assume they are one in the same.

Car Top Camper is a Mombasa Outdoors dealer.

Mombasa's poly/cotton fabric is the same 240 gsm poly/cotton that was used in the ARB Simpson II RTTs
