Best source for trailer axles on the west coast?

Hey guys, looking for a 3500# axle for my trailer build. Where do y'all get yours from? I'm striking out on getting a custom length from local trailer supply stores, and most of what I've seen online are closer to the atlantic than the pacific. Looks like some great prices but I'd end up paying an arm and a leg in shipping.

Six Robblee's has a location in Oakland. They sell axles lengths in 2" increments but may be able to point you towards someone who does custom lengths. The guys at my local store have been incredibly helpful.

I got mine there(Portland store) with matching hubs to my tow rig. They were great. Mine is a custom length and they designed it to match the requirements of my narrow spring centers. Axle is from Dexter, so parts easy to find later.

There's a Henderson Wheel Supply in Fontana CA. I get my axles from the one in Boise ID. I told them what width I wanted and they built it. Was around $200 but that was a few years ago.

I couldn't find a local source who didn't want to charge me 2.5 times the going rate for a custom axle, so I called up Brandon at Down To Earth Trailers and got them to make me a fully custom 3500lb. axle. The axle arrived in a week and its price delivered (along with springs, u-bolts, shackles, and hangers) was less than any local trailer supply store wanted to charge me just for the shipping to their store.

I have had good luck with the Henderson folks. Actually just had some seals sent to me last week getting the trailer ready to go this week for our summer trips.

Wholesale

Wholesale trailer parts in west Sacramento. You can pick up or have something shipped. Google them.

Beware, you sort of get what you pay for. I was only about 90% happy with the order I had put on will call for my car hauler build. It looked like a complete order, in my excitement and hurry I didn't realize a few parts were missing, and then I didn't realize the quality was a little short on some of the parts until I got back to Fresno.

My last order was about 5 years ago.

Price was great though.
