Looking for some recommendation on a topper for double cab long bed. I would like a side access capable topper. Any suggestions? Thanks

ARE MX series with windoors on both sides and/or at least one side window with a vented windoor if you plan on sleeping in the back. I wish i got one side with a screened slider but was too cheap at the time to justify it. its well worth it if you are back there and in bear/cougar country and dont want to sleep with the windoors wide open.

the interior carpet is nice on the roof, prevents most condensation from dripping on you.

this is what the vented windoors look like.

also dont get the compression front boot, i went with that and its terrible. never really seals correctly

i had a snugtop before the ARE and i like the ARE better, the side windoors are an absolute must.

x2 ARE with Windoors. The side access is incredible and our truck is a short bed. Windoors would seem even more essential on a long bed. Our Windoors have sliding screens in the middle so you can get ventilation if you want.

I've had two low end Leers, both bought used. If I were to pay for a new one, I would go with a different brand.

I have a Leer 100xl.... it is great but no side opening window option. Fit and finish has been great and has lasted for 4 years now. Can't say anything about their cheaper models though.

If I were getting side access I would opt for the big side doors on the ARE commercial units rather than the small windoors of their fiberglass toppers.

I recently bought a used Snugtop XTR. It does not have side access but I'm impressed with the Snugtop build quality and clean lines. I would recommend a Snugtop and just choose a model with windoors as an option.
