Wow. I didn't know used Rubicons were selling for that much. Maybe I should sell mine...
LSJC - yeah - maybe they have cleaned house. Any other questions can be in e-mail or PM as I don't wish to site-bash in an open forum. I met some very good people on that forum but the idiots are why I left.
I've had a '94 YJ - this was a good year. It was very easy to work on, easy to lift/modify. Tons of parts available. The great 4.0 EFI with an OK AX-15 tranny. If I was doing it and had the money, I would probably buy something like that and go through advance adaptors or someone to switch out the tranny to an NV3500, or if I wanted hardcore the NV4500. I was going to do that back in the day but alas, had no money.
My '04 Rubicon is a beast. But it has cost much more up front, lifting it and everything else has also been more difficult and cost more money.
There are certainly pros and cons with the YJ and TJ platform. In some ways I liked my YJ more, in some I like the TJ more. The TJ is certainly more capable - you just can't beat a Rubicon for out of the box "go wherever you want" (within reason, of course). But I had a hell of a good time in that old YJ.
