Better jack for a long travel suspension an Overlanding vehicle?

Research a Humvee jack, surplus or otherwise.
Possibly add a custom adapter, if necessary, for your purpose.
No personal experience.

Thanks for the info about Humvee jacks. Sounds exactly right, I can't find one at the moment, but I'll keep trying.

Not sure it’s relevant, but I just drive my flat tire up on two of the 2x12” boards I carry for leveling our truck at camp. The extra 3” provided allows me to slide my bottle jack under the axle. If I need more clearance I just add one or two more boards.

The extra 2’ of “driving on a flat tire” seems harmless to me.

Well I knew my tire was toast but I was concerned about the almost new rims, but I guess the short movement on flattened rubber would protect them. Thank you for the ideas, time to test in the driveway. Cheers.

My unashamed, blatant copy, of a safe jack kit. Even if you never use it on your vehicle it’s an excellent extra set of hands around the shop.
