Between trip parking?

How and where do all you trailer owners store your trailer between trips? My wife and I have been looking at acquiring an AT Chaser for a while but since we only have a two-car garage, one of the big concerns before purchase is storage of the trailer between trip.

I apologize if this has been asked before...my searches didn't turn up anything. Thanks for the help.

I only have a single car carport, but I do have a back driveway. I plan on parking the trailer there with a car cover over it.

I would say it needs a place in the garage or at least a bit more theft deterant place than the street. Do you have a side yard, you could fence in a small spot for it.

Undisclosed warehouse in SoCal. Both the rig and trailer are there, along with bikes and kayak.
Every 5 mins i get to walk past them. It's like torture here at work :(

We too have a two car garage. My wife parks her truck on one side and I park the AT Chaser on my side. My truck gets to stay outside in the driveway.

Me too. I figured my KK trailer is going to last me through multiple tow rigs so it gets the garage spot and my 4Runner is religated to the driveway.

On the street wouldn't be an option for us and the neighbors ;). We have a good sized back yard and have considered moving the fence line next to the driveway and putting a concrete slab down behind the fence for a trailer.

Long-term, does anyone think outdoor, covered storage (tarp, car cover) would affect it? Just looking for the best way to protect it.

i have a backyard and rv gate, i got me one of those canvas garages, 10X20 that i got off craigslist. the landcruiser and trailer park there. the tacoma gets the garage with the wifes car.

the canvas garage is great,, does a good job keeping the sun and elements out. next to that is a dedicated metal shed that houses all the "stuff" neatly on shelves, kitchen box, stoves, dutch ovens ect.ect. when i go out its a simple matter to take what i need and load the trailer.

its 5 yrs old in the AZ sun and shows no signs of real wear or tearing so i'd say go for it.

Two car garage...=...Truck & trailer.....

Like to build a shed in the backyard for the trailer and other lawn/Garden items....

The wife parks in the driveway!;)

Currently we store our trailer in our off street parking post that's off the back alley. I used to park my truck there but there's only room for one. Truck gets parked on the street now. :( I'd like to put up a two car garage or car port one of these days.

All 4 cars are parked outside. The trailer's in the third bay of my 3 car garage. My business equipment is next to it in the other two bays.. Some day I may build a seperate garage/casita for family that may eventually have to move in with me.. I'm gonna try and keep them at arms length but close enough to keep an eye on..

Gotta keep the trailer clean..

Covering an item outside is always better than not. However, you just don't throw a blanket on it and call it good. You do have to take precautions. Check your ordinances on storage on your property. Tires can't touch the ground, have to be on concrete, pavers, etc. Would an enclosure be better and easier, would it also hold other valuables, yard equipment, etc? There a vast viable options for enclosures. Plastic is easiest and prettiest (more acceptable to your neighbors). Where to place the storage? Accessability? Ease? What about intrusion from animals, field mice, etc.

Or best thing is to keep it attached to your daily driver? You'll definately will learn how to drive!!LOL.

I also have a 2 car garage; in the summer, the hard top of the Jeep and the trailer share one bay while my wife's car is in the other (and the Jeep stays in the driveway) In winter, I fit the trailer under our deck. It is a PITA to get it under there but hey, it is nicely covered, does not not block one of the garage places nor costs any extra $$$.
