BF Goodrich KM2 question - 255 85 16 discontinued?

I contacted Tire Rack today and they advised me that this size has been discontinued. Has anyone else heard the same thing? I was hoping to purchase a set for my "new to me" 2002 Toyota Tacoma.

Discount Tire gave me conflicting information saying that they are being produced but not available for several weeks...

I don't believe that Tire Rack ever carried the 255/85R16 size. You'll have better luck going through a 4WD shop or a tire shop that frequently deals with large tire sizes.

I don't know if it's been discontinued, but when I checked stock from my supplier last week they were out and there was no new delivery date on their schedule.

It has been about 4 months, but Costco special ordered mine without a problem. Very happy with them.

I got a set form Discount Tire on 8/24/09, they had 1 set in stock, they matched Onlinetires.com price and 70$ mail in rebate.

being in the tire business, I made a few calls when i saw this post. these tires are readily available at several of my wholesalers. i think I saw you were from the Seattle area . you might check with Berlin Tire Center in Kent Wa. or Tire Centers Inc if they changed the name. They should be able to give you the name of a Dealer in your area.

Thanks. Many thanks for researching it. Costco and Discount Tire can't pinpoint a date they might be available, but I did phone a local tire company and confirmed they had access to a wholesaler in Kent that has them. Again, I appreciate your help.
