BFG T/A KO2 vs Cooper STT PRO?

I've ridden in a couple of Score chase trucks that BFG is sponsoring. Heavy trucks. They ran Toyo MT's formerly. The handling with the KO2's was drift city.
I don't think the KO2's are a good choice for heavy diesel trucks.
Cooper seems to have a winner with their ST Maxx.

Will and I have convinced you!? I’m super happy with my ST Maxxs. I’m running them on my 100 series now as well and love them. I did go to a 255/85 for the LC, but am considering going back to a 285/75. The steering is noticeably lighter with the 255s, but it seems to follow the grooves from big trucks on the highway more with the skinny size.

No not necessarily. I put 7500 miles max on the truck per year. By the time I need tires something else will be out.
The 305-70-18 is intriguing though. Tall and skinny

I called Cooper Tires yesterday to ask why they didn't offer the ST Maxx in the 285/75R18's and the lady on the line didn't have a reason and sounded surprised that they didn't. She had nothing to show they were going to be either. :(

Cooper does have a new(ish) tire that I just saw on their website: Discoverer AT3 XLT that does come in the 285/75R18 with the 4k lb rating. http://us.coopertire.com/tires/discoverer-at3-xlt.aspx

It looks a little more aggressive than their regular AT3 and comes with a 60k treadwear warranty. That has my attention. I really like the ST Maxx's, but would really like to keep the 80psi inflation for when the camper is loaded and being driven down the highway. The ST Maxx is the most aggressive tire I have ran on my "expo" rigs as I usually stick with an AT tire. Rockcrawlers get MT's, but I like AT's otherwise.

They have a 295/70 and 305/70 in the ST Maxx. I’ve run them both on the ‘14 Ram. The 305s look better, but rub at full lock. I initially had Toyo ATs in 285/75-18 on the truck, but they sucked hard. There is 1/2” +/- difference between 285 and 295.
