Questions:

--Have you spent any time in the Davis Mtns of Texas. If so, is the area worth a visit?

--Are you a geologist?

Jim,
The Davis Mountains are very scenic, especially for Texas. However, like most of Texas there is basically no public land. Davis Mountains State Park is it. The fort is interesting and you can go hiking in the state park, but there will be no off-road driving.
