Big Brawny Transit Trail edition may finally coming to the USA

Back in June there were articles in the auto press about this “off roading” Transit being made available in Europe. It seems like it soon may be coming to the USA next. Yay! ??

This could be a really great platform for your next instagramable #VanLife home brew.

The Trail should offer Ford’s “intelligent” all-wheel-drive system, one that promises to send up to 50 percent of the power to the front wheels, and should boast a new limited-slip differential and a tweaked traction control system.

It’s been seen being tested in Michigan and while there’s no guarantee the Trail will be sold in the North America, let’s hope it does show up here, sooner than later!

I think "coming here" is a bit of a misnomer.
They are considering a trim package addition for the USDM Transit that shares a name and some features with a EU model.
EDIT: That is a EU FWD van in the spy shots.....
It does have twice pipes though, curious if this indicates a new motor option?
