Big50's 2017 F250 Build

Love that spot in Big Sur. One of my all time favorites. Nice and green right now. We were camped almost directly below you on the coast.

Finally got the Rogue Racing bumper mounted up. Install was straight forward and was able to do it myself thanks to the modular design of the bumper. Very happy with the fit and finish. Used a KC hilites 40" curved LED bar for lighting. Minor detail but I really like how the background around the lights is black vs the shiny chrome in most LED bars.

I took her out on her maiden voyage for a family trip down the 395 with the family.

Nice build!! I'm glad to see a 17" rim work with 37"s. I'm torn between 18" rims and 37" tires or 20" rims and 35" tires for my 18' F250 XLT. Its silver and I'm looking for gunmetal rims. I'm trying to avoid rims sticking out past the fender flares much also want to avoid cutting plastic if possible, so looking for a +12 offset or more. My top choice right now is the raceline cluth 934G or a brand I've never heard of MKW M94. I just ordered a ready lift 2.5" w/ track bar kit on the front end and may go with bilstein or fox 2.0 shocks to replace the OEM rancho's. I know its personal preference but the tire guys are telling me no 12ply for 37" tires, only 10ply. I'll be pulling a 30ft toy hauler quarterly (schedule permitting) - the rest of the time it will be a daily driver. Any advice you can pass on WRT those rim/tire options? Thanks in advance!

Nice build! Pretty much exactly the route I want to go with my '18 F250. Almost the exact same truck as yours, except I couldn't find one with the LED headlights. Currently got a 2.5" Readylift and 35x12.50 Toyos, but plan on upgrading to either the Carli or Icon 2.5" in the future. Why did you choose the Icon over the Carli?

Truck looks great! Went with Icon because I've been running their stuff on my Raptor for 5 years and it's been flawless. I also like their cdcv adjuster knobs which allow you to stiffen or soften the shocks easily. When I tow I stiffen up the rears and after I threw on the bumper/winch I stiffened up the front a tad due to the extra weight. They sponsor us as well so I get pretty good pricing on their stuff. If you are interested in a kit shoot me a dm and I can get you a price. Only downside is they drop ship from Icon so it can take a month to 2 months to get a kit.

Been a while so figure I’d give an overdue update.

Got a little over 26,000 miles on her now and absolutely love this truck. It’s used as the adventure family rig, chase truck for our EXO Baja runs, and DD for most of the last year. Really happy with the flexibility of how it’s setup and how well it does it’s job.

Just added a CVT Rainier RTT this week. Looking forward to testing it out soon. Mounted the tent to a Thule xsporter. Seems rock solid. Most importantly, relatively easy to remove for when the truck is used as a chase truck.

Have since added air bags to address the sag. With tongue weight and all the gear there’s about 2800lbs over the rear axle.

Did you regear or are you still running stock 3.55? I finally got my 37s on (37x13.50r17 Toyo MT), and have been thinking of going to a 4.10 or possibly 4.30.

yeah still running 3.55's. I could barely tell the difference. When towing heavy I keep it out of 6th. It has plenty of power and pulls up the Grapevine with ease towing 12K lbs. If I were to do gears, I'd do 4.30's to get a real noticeable difference.
