Here are the pictures
All the pictures and the one video I shot are from my new Motorola Droid Bionic.
The pictures have not been run through enhancement software, they are as they came from the camera, only downsized from 3264x1840 (8 megapixel) to 1200x676.
Bill Burke's 4-Wheeling America's 25th birthday event was held at ARB Headquarters in Renton, WA. October the 1st 2011.
Bill had his Land Rover Defender there along with the hauler for it, and his motorhome.
Very nice setup!
Many members from various forums showed up for the event from:
www.yotatech.com
www.ih8mud.com
www.fjcruiserforums.com
www.expeditionportal.com
www.northwestoverlandsociety.org
Got to put some faces with the names and posts I see on the above forums that I surf on a regular basis.
The event was like a rolling overlanding/expedition rig show too with many FJ Cruisers, Tacomas, a diesel right hand drive BJ74 Landcruiser, along with ARB's 5th gen 4Runner that they had recently built up for Expo's event held a short time back over in Eastern WA, and also a Jeep Unlimited that they are working on that will hit the SEMA show in November of this year.
The BJ74 belongs to BJ74guy that is on a few of the forums that I am on.
He and his wife came down from Canada to pick up a new ARB fridge/freezer for a trip they were leaving on today.
Perfect timing to make it to the event today too.
The black Defender was in very pristine shape, I am sure I was drooling when gawking at it.
I was surprised at how many FJ Cruisers were there, pretty cool.
There was a total of three Defenders there with the black one, greenish/gray one, and of course Bill Burke's Defender.
There were also a few 4Runners there besides ARB's black one.
Glad I went, it was great seeing everyone and checking out the rigs, and meeting Bill Burke and ARB's president Jim Jackson.
Here is a video of Bill Burke cutting the cake.
