Bilstein Valving ?

I have some Bilstein valving questions for a 1989 Jeep Cherokee.
I'm looking to use the 5165 series shocks http://www.bilsteinus.com/news-even...e/593/article/5160-5165-reservoir-shocks.html. I have the Extended, Collapsed and Travel numbers worked out.
The Jeep has the added weight of front and rear steel bumpers with tire carrier and a 35" spare, slider/ Nerf bars Fuel tank skid, Transfer case Skid, 6" lift kit, Rear drawer system with fridge, Roof rack.
With the nine year old Skyjacker nitro's I still get a fair ride but when I drop off a ledge or go over a fair sized rock, it sways or rocks more then I like it too.
I have no benchmark numbers on Bilstein's valving for a stock Cherokee.
The choices for the 5165's are 170/60, 255/70, 360/80
Any help would be welcomed.

The box-stock answer is 255s. But you're alot heavier than stock. I'd say between the 255 and 300 (theres sometimes a 275 available), or the 300 if not. They are very liberal with thier valving selections. When I asked they immediately went to the 300 rec. I wound up with the 275 (on 7100s). If you are heavy, dont undershock it.

Another option if you aren't decided on the Bilstein's are the Teraflex JK shocks, I run them and love them on washboard and the big rocks, our weights are similar so the valving works great.

Not sure on the valving, but wanted to say I changed to Bilstein 5100 series on my LJ and theyre awesome, much better than the ome nitro chargers they replaced. Firmer and quicker offroad, better ride on the street.

I run the Bilstein 5125s in the 255/70 valving front and rear. Rides, performs great and would do it again the same way.
