Not sure what to expect but I just ordered a pair of Steiner MM1050 binoculars. Killer deal was had. Can't wait to get them.

Only thing that I have to compare them to is a pair of Steiner MM2080 military binoculars that I looked through 1x in the US Army, in Germany, in the early 80's. They were green rubber armored but much more powerful and the clarity in low light was incredible. Hope these are as good.

One time hunting in California mid 80s, I found a pair mm1050?, when get home I'll look a little closer for the model number, they were laying in the middle of the road a hundred yards away and the sun was reflecting of the front lenses, couldn't believe my luck. I did put a lost and found ad in the local paper for a couple weeks.. no one contacted,Lucky me.
Low light vision is very good.
Many times over the years I was going to give them to thrift store, but I look through them and..nah.

my wife got me a vortex viper 10x42 for christmas when a major outfitter closed shop in western canada years ago.they spend most of the time on a table so anyone can watch the antics going on out on the lake.i'll have them till i croak, then probably end up with my grandson.i have 3 or 4 different brands in the t/t,boat,etc. this is by far the best

We found a great deal at Costco, Zeiss 10 x 25 compact bino’s.

Affordable , great clarity and easy to focus and will easily fit into the pockets on your cargo pants/shorts.

Received the binoculars. Absolutely outstanding quality. I am definitely sold on the adjustable eye focus on each side, you adjust them once and they are focused at any distance, no more trying to get them focused on a moving object quickly before it disappears. Very happy with them.

Only con is, they are heavy. Now I am saving up for the MM8x30 & waiting for a sale.

Its been seven years since I picked up my second pair of compact binos to replace cheap n'cheerful but rather crappy Bushnell 10x25s. Needed them primarily for backpacking so small and light but good image stability were the criteria (this last the Bushnell couldn't deliver). Visited many shops and finally settled on Leica Trinovid 8x20. They are tiny but man they are sharp! Now I take them everywhere; in the truck for quick IDs or on vacation for reading street signs, and they work really well with eyeglasses on or off. Can recommend highly if you're looking a buy-once compact bino.
