Good question!

Because of the product and packing size, the original Slimlines have to ship via freight. And despite all our best efforts, such as using negotiated discounted shipping rates, the cost of freight shipping just adds up.

The Slimline II Roof racks were designed modular precisely so that they can be shipped ground. We really believe the Slimline II is the best roof rack out there and we didn't want confusing and onerous freight charges to stand in the way of getting the product to our customers. So, to keep it simple and to help promote this awesome roof rack, we ship the Slimline IIs for free!

Will the slimline adjust to fit a first generation Mombasa RTT. My tent currently uses the square Thule Bars but I would prefer a rack up there too.
