Upper tabs and main structure overlays 80% done prewelding.

Most of these are just fusion welded with some filler when needed. All of these pre assembly pieces do not need any welds to be held together. Finial assembly will be Mig.

1g Raptor 2.5IBP shocks fitted- not quite done but they do fit and fully stroke. I did have to kill some up-travel but didn't want to go through the bed.

Anti-warp bar construction detail picture's.

Okay thats most everything for not I will try to keep this build alive!!!

Hey everyone,

I got a bit of work done, also had some design flaws I over looked such as that my plan was to use the RH side of the axle to attach my traction/antiwarp bar butttt after real lift test fitting it just was not possible with the new shock mount location and bump pad.

So it's now on the drivers side, the long tube of the axle, I believe the passenger side is optimal for controlling the torque however I have seen successful builds one either side. So I am going with drivers side.

The next side effect is that this interferes with the front fuel tank, that will be sorted later. It still has a 32 gallon rear, but I would like all 50 gallons when I am done.

As far as work accomplished, I pre tapped the strike plates, they will have a helicoil for the wear plate to attach too. I have the left shock mount welded and right now I am waiting for the axle to cool off so I can finish the Anti-W bar mount.

Very cool build. I wish I lived next door. Over the top for me but I'd be there every day to marvel at what you do. Well done.

ps, I have never seen a welding clamp so clean. My wife would say a new standard has been set. I'm a bit anal too.

I look at the shop floor and have to ask... are those pavers?
And I am curious about the shop tools. Obviously you have a CNC Plasma Cutter..... but we need details.

He mentioned in one of his posts he uses https://sendcutsend.com/ for the laser cutting.

Hi,
Yes bajaphile is correct I send DXF files to Sendcutsend for laser cuts.

I also use Xometry for 3d printing and cnc machine work or lathe turning.

The reason I use those companys simply comes down to the instant quote engine, I can modify parts and see the exact cost each item costs. Make my life very simple rather than "requesting a quote" from a local shop.

I dont have too many shop tools, a tig and a 2 m20220401_180741.jpgug welders all from eastwood, for the price I love them and they do work.
