Webasto project will involve getting this

Into the space on the rear skid

Install a couple cross members on the skid, add some sheet metal for splash protection and it looks like it was made or it. My biggest concern is drilling the three big holes in the floor for the duct where I am planning.

Fuel plumbing out of the aux port on the back of the UJOR tank.

Very cool. Looking forward to hear/see how this turns out. I was thinking of doing this exact thing.

Nice, which coolant filter setup did you go with?

Been using it mostly... but

Just had the trans beefed up with a remote filter, mag hytec pan, and trucool cooler. Almost took it back to shop after 15 min with no reading on the gauge but at about the 20 min mark the temp began to register. Looking at considerable decreases in trans temps. Added the coolant filter and completed the coolant flush, adding the 203 degree thermostat.

The webasto dual top arrived as did the water tanks, pumps, an fixtures. Fridge cabinet is ready for install and then I can build galley cabinet around the water system.

The Siena seats have been converted to fords with the brackets in place. A little test and development with the slide bracket to ensure the mg kit works with the earlier seats coming later today.

So much to do

I did a separate post for easy search but I noticed I did not mention that it is a DieselSite filter set up. Make sure they know its for a van and they will send you extra hose and tell you they don't have a mounting kit for it. My bracket works well if you have a 7.3 if you are looking for a spot on a 6.0 do a google search for badger trek.

Gutter Rot?

image.jpg
Back in March when I started the build I pulled the front seats and flooring to find this. After a bit of research I traced it up to the gutter / front pilar / windshield intersection, I think.... At the time I put it on the short list of items for the body shop.

The gutter pilar windshield intersection is a bit of a mess with a little surface rust. The gutter sealant is cracked where it meets with the roof. The body shop work order is to remove the windshield and pick around the corner and along the gutter to find the leak. I know it is a leak because I pulled the headliner to insulate the roof and come up with an oh console and while driving to the body shop water was dripping in my lap from the heavy dew the night before.

Any others experienced this problem and come up with a good fix? There's a good bit of info on the topic on the smb forum mostly looking at the gutter sealant ford used mid 2000. I'll know more on that once they start digging around.
