Work and family have made any kind of travel plans impossible to make this summer. I turned off the cell and headed 2 hours north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada this past weekend with my brother and a friend to Bobcaygeon. The fall leaves were starting to change and though the rain made things soggy the mud/water holes were tamer then previous years.

Thought I'd share a few photos of a much needed weekend off....

As a fellow Canadian, you probably know that song Bobcaygeon by the Tragically Hip right? A radio host in Los Angeles asked Gordon Downie (the lead singer) once why the song was named that. His response was some to the effect of: "It's kind of like any town, big stars in the sky and it sort of rhymes with the word constellation." I haven't been able to hear the name of that town with smiling since :jump:

The Hip

Yeah - I know the song "coulda been the Willie Nelson, coulda been the wine". I was going to reference it but in the time I've spent living and traveling in the US I haven't run into many Tragically Hip fans. I saw them play 10 or 12 years ago in California - great to see a band that would play stadiums in Toronto doing small intimate clubs....

Thanks baz - there was an independent magazine store here in Toronto that used to carry Aussie 4wd magazine. I remember an article on the MogRover three or four years ago - 4 wheel steering etc. Impressive rig. The Unimog chassis is tough to beat.
