Body Lift for Disco

Hahaha! In what world does a 4BT or 4BD1T only weigh 250 lbs more than an all aluminum Rover V8? Fully dressed youre looking at around 900 lbs. BOPR V8 is around 350. I think you need to do more research. Post up on those Australian boards and find out what the real weights are.

Comparing to a 300 Tdi, not a V8 . . . But, honestly, what's the problem Viggen? Why are you so quick to pick a fight about everything? Someone mentions Camel Trophy anything and you go on a tirade about that. An off hand comment about skinny tires to Nonimouse, and you go on the attack about that. I mention that I may be looking at needing to fit a small body lift for an Isuzu project and this leads to another all out assault.

Not that it really matters to you, and besides the fact that this is a body lift thread, but I have researched the pros and cons of the Isuzu in extreme depth, so I know exactly what I'm getting into. So let's leave it there, OK?

Its just the internet generalizations without regard for location and terrain and the flip flops. Thats all. Its not all out assaults and Ill leave this one lie as I dont want it to come off as a personal attack. I do hope that your project turns out the way you envision it but I do believe that your math is suspect (300tdi ~480 lbs. dry, south of 500).

My stance on body lifts is the same as in the other thread. They have a bad rep and might not be visually appealing (it can be hidden by plates) but they can offer a solution to lack of wheel well room, easy tire clearance, etc...
