Well, I went the easy way. Oldsven was selling his 'runner to upgrade to something newer and I jumped on it. If you want to see his build thread, it's here: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28244

So far I've pretty much just been driving the thing, using it for adventures and what-not. So far I've added:

-LED fogs with amber covers
-Yakima Rooftop Box
-Yakima hitch mounted bike carrier
-Double Din head unit
-Electric Fan (Thanks Nic!)
-LED Tails
-FN wheels

Planned upgrades:

-Some sort of rear storage drawer/sleeping platform system
-Roof basket ( WMW or the like, want full length)
-Lightforce 240 driving lights
-HID projector retrofit
-Communications/Navigation
-Recovery Gear

Now the fun part, pics!

Doesn't matter who built it... Its still built.
As long as you get out and use it for what it was built for

Went and found some snow today with oldsven, he's got most of the good pics but added one to the original post. It's amazing how capable these trucks are, really looking forward to the real snow showing up!

Sorry, i'm from Venezuela, rain or shine its pretty much always summer here :sombrero:

I've had 3 Transitions up to date, moved away from the whole freeride thing, i had a TransAM for a couple of years, currently have a Bandit. Those guys make awesome bikes, I won't be moving away from them in a while!!

Awesome rig you got, built by you or not. I used to haul mine on a 90 series land cruiser, which is basically the same truck as your 4runner! extremely reliable and capable! Enjoy it

Nice rig, those FN Wheels look great! I'm on board to get some when they hit in 17"...
Nice bike too - I've several friends with dirtbags between TX and NM.

Thanks!

Been a bit busy with the truck lately:

Added some LED tails.

And plasti dipped the fender flares. Hope to have some better pics of the competed project soon. I'm also going forward with a full HID projector retrofit. The new housing arrived last night, just waiting for the kit from The Retrofit Source. Seems the ballast I ordered is on backorder. I'll probably use this weekend to split the housings apart and prep them for paint. For those familiar with the MK4 Jettas and Golfs, this was called the "Joey Mod".
