Farewell to one of the coolest Tacomas ever built. You did an awesome job and had some great adventures. Always a difficult decision but sounds like you made the right one. Glad to hear it went to a good home.

Thanks guys. I guess I should share what has replaced it. I've already got a thread over in the Land Cruiser section but some that follow this thread may not venture over there. The truck was close to stock when I got it in December. Fortunately I already had almost all the parts to build it (from my old 80) so it was a relatively quick build and it's got just about everything I'd like it to have now.

That's kinda funny. My oldest son went out and sat in the truck for a few minutes alone while I finished up paperwork with the buyer. Poor kid. I think he knows it's only a matter of time until we find him a new project truck and start building it together so it's all good.

The 80s are great, but the Tacoma has been probably the best all-around vehicle I've owned. Wish I could have held onto it.

The new owner does not live in Moab but I know he took it to Moab this weekend so the truck you saw was probably this truck. I'm glad he's not wasting any time putting it to good use.

Pretty much. I kept the RTT, and tool stuff like the hi-lift and maxtrax but the bed rack and everything else went with the truck.
