Brake Pads

Hello Gents:

Now that my "new" wheels are being sandblasted/powder coated, I will make the best of having the off, and replace all break pads.

Any particular brand you recommend? I'd like to have good pads, but not overly expensive, since it is now relegated to weekend outings.

Thanks!

Never heard of them... any particular model?

Also, now that we are talking... AISIN Locking Hubs... anywhere to buy the for the Monty? Searched high and lo, and I haven't seen anyone that sells them for Montys. I checked Warn as well, which I have for my CJ3B (beautiful hubs, BTW), but no luck with them either.

Will search for the Akebonos now...

Thanks for your time!

I just put powerstop ceramics (z23) all around, front and back, and have been happy with the performance so far.

Because I tow fairly frequently now and have plans to turn my taco into a pretty legit overlanding vehicle, I wanted to upgrade the brakes. I went with the EBC dimpled rotors and yellow stuff pads and I love them. The pads are slightly dirtier than stock but they stop the truck like a formula one car. I haven't measured the distance, but I'll tell you this, 60-0 happens FAST, noticeably faster than stock.

Thank you, Gents!

I was looking at the PowerStop as well... seems they have good reviews, as well as a fair price, not the cheap, low end stuff.

And thanks for the AISIN hub link as well... never looked for them in Amazon (of all places, never thought they would have them...).

Have a great weekend!

Jorge
