Braun Ambulance Conversion

Can Braun ambulances be converted? Given their unit construction, does anyone attempt to reconfigure their interiors, or do you just live with what's already there and build to fit?

depends on how the ambulance is constructed. I know at least on ours the O2 tank storage box and the column cabinet holding our med vaults are pretty stoutly reinforced. everything else is in there and reasonably stoutly built but mostly removable/reconfigurable I know several of ours were reconfigured for much larger stretchers with loaders.

I only wondered because I have a Horton and a Wheeled Coach. They both are built with outer aluminum sheet mounted to extruded studs; the cabinets are welded and/or screwed in place, and relatively easy to strip out, while a Braun is a single, welded unit with no framework..

Braun is the Volvo of the Ambulance industry.... Modifying it likely compromizes the safety reasons to buy it. I'd work with what Braun built.

I have seen many cars like Hilux, Hiace, Changan Karavaan etc converted into ambulances. Every car can be converted into an ambulance. I have personally done the ambulance fabrication of my hiace
hi roof ambulance with all the modifications like adding canopies and interior change.
