Check out IdaSHO's link. If the grab bar can be kept out of the way, it might be what you are looking for.
Thanks- we looked at something like that at Home Depot, but that one was way too small...

You are welcome.
Do you think this one would be big enough?
From the Lowe's website: "The Xtend+climb® stable step WT5 step stool is valued for its ultimate stability and strength. This 5 step stool exceeds standards with an ANSI type IAA 375 lbs duty rating and towers with a58 In. platform height. Given its superior strength, this ladder is made from industrial grade aluminum allowing for a lightweight design. The key performance qualities of the stable step are its 8 In. deep steps with non-slip tread, which ascend in a stair-like format, and topped off with a locking safety bar, making it easy to go up and down with maximum stability and safety. As the tallest of the our stable step series, the WT5 is great for the tallest reaches around the job site and home which require robust strength and ultimate stability. Given the extra deep steps and top safety bar, our customers have found that this ladder is ideal for getting up and down from the rafters of a garage at ease with even the heaviest of loads being carried. Just imagine having a quick set of 5 stairs to use at your convenience, and then folding them up to mere inches for easy storage when done - this is a must have for a garage, warehouse, or storage room."
Hmm, the manufacturer's websiteshows a different platform height. It might not be enough: "The Xtend+Climb® StableStep WT5 Step Stool is valued for its ultimate stablility and strength. This 5 step stool exceeds standards with an ANSI Type IAA 375 lbs duty rating and towers with a 44.75 inch platform height. Given its superior strength, this ladder is made from industrial grade aluminum allowing for a lightweight design. The key performance qualities of the StableStep are its 8 inch deep steps with non-slip tread, which ascend in a stair-like format, and topped off with a locking safety bar, making it easy to go up and down with maximum stability and safety."WT5 Industrial Step Stool, Rolling Step Ladder | Xtend+Climb Telescoping Ladders | Xtend+Climb Telescoping Ladders

I posted, looked at the Lowe's link again, decided to check the manufacturer's website, and edited my post.Yeah, I noticed that contradiction on the WT5 also...
Mine doesn't either. We have a 100 pound Mastiff and she bolts right out when we let her out.The dog doesn't need a hand rail.
