I have to say, Your jeep looks squat way more than mine does when loaded. I wonder did they tag your springs wrong? Have a look at the maximus 3 tire carrier as well. They have a nice setup for carrying everything.

Wow. Mine is NEVER like that. Hmmmmm. I am thinking your springs are not what they are tagged. that can happen.

Maybe. The front springs are soft. 17s.

Another night shot that didn't make the cut.

I also didn't realize that the Trucklites are slightly bug-eyed. It made me reconsider them. Do yall think it'd be worth the extra cost to get the new heated ones considering I'm in SoCal?

The truck lites don't look bug eyed. the JW with all those circles look like bug eyes. In so cal, I would not worry about the heated ones. I live in sloppy snow central and I only had an issue with mine once. The normal ones are fine. and worth every penny to upgrade. What are your rear springs 60? I have 18-59s on my rig. That's what came on it. I don't squat like that at all! funny!

Love those desert night shots

Really dig the starry sky with the contrast of the desert plants, and geology. Although that particular picture looks like one nasty fart going on there... :D

My rears are 59s.

I agree about the JW speakers. But I meant that the trucklites stick out farther than the OEMs. But not too bad. It took me the whole day to notice the ones on the Red JKUR weren't OEM.

A puppy kept running into the camera tripod. But I think that was my red headlamp that blurred that one.

Is he running the AEV tire carrier with the stock bumper? That's sort of the way I'm leaning right now too. Looks very functional without the huge $ of the full setup.

Yup. That's what I was considering too. There are a lot of hidden costs with the AEV though. No one offers free shipping. You can't get them on sale. The hi lift mount is $200. You need a way to relocate the third brake light. The gas carrier is another $350+shipping. And the shovel holder doesn't work well with the stock sized tire. Also it blocks almost all of your rear view. The tire sticks out, up and off center.

Definitely a slick set up. But I keep discovering new reasons to just go with the Teraflex carrier.

I've been working on my own version of an S-Pod.

I'll post up more details later.

I'm using the Rugged Ridge A-Pillar switch panel. I plan to replace the Daystar switch covers with the more OEM looking OTRATTW Switches from top to bottom:
1. LED Lightbar/Driving Light wiring harness Relay.
2. Underhood Air Compressor Relay.
3. 4x 10w Led Rock lights pointed at each tire.
4. Rear LED reverse/backup/dust light.

The Rugged Ridge fitment isn't perfect.

An add a circuit runs from the factory underhood fusebox to a 150A relay. The ignition triggers on the relay, supplying power from the Aux battery to an Aux underhood Bluesea fusebox mounted to the top of the factory fusebox.

The reverse light is tied to the in cab always-on Blue Sea Fusebox under the passenger seat. I could have had it come on automatically when I shift into reverse. But that seemed like a lot of extra work for something I'd rarely need since I live in a bright city, where a marine layer rolls in every night and reflects the street lights back at you. I also wanted it switchable so I could use it as a camp light and as a dust light. I didn't use a relay on this since it's a 20w LED light >2A. And the switches are rated at 20A. Same for the 3.3A rock lights.

I used water proof splices and heat-shrink wrap and plastic loom to protect all the wiring. The Reverse light wiring follows the 2m Ham antenna cable along the passenger doorsill. I grounded the light to the tailgate handle bolt.

The bracket bolts to the OEM screws holding the 3rd brake light together. I need to sand and paint the 1/8" angle aluminum bracket. But it started raining.

While I was at it I installed a white/Red camp light to the windshield wiper motor cover (Only an $8 part to replace). The wiring runs from the always on fusebox, inside the reverse light switch wiring to the drivers-side doorsill. Then, runs to the hardtop's plugs. I added a plug for the positive wire. The wiring runs through the OEM hard top wiring to the wiper motor. I grounded it to the motor ground. The fitment isn't perfect. I might add a gasket around the light to clean up the install.

I am going back and forth between the tf and max3 setups for the rear. Tf is winning on cost.

I like how OEM the TF looks. I guess that could be a good or a bad thing. It is fun to install mods that differentiate your jeep from the other 2 million.

I spoke too soon about the Maximus. I gave it another look last night. It could definitely be a good middle ground between the TF and AEV. It solves things I don't like about both.

your gauge pod came out clean.

Thank you! But it's not done yet.

True. The aev setups gear fits nice on the rear too. The tf and max is way easier to install too. No removing or cutting the bumper. I just like how everything fits on the max compared to the tf.
