Bruce Trail, Ontario

[Lost Canadian]

I just returned from a 3 day solo backcountry trek along part of the spectacular bruce trail here in Ontario. For those who've never heard of the bruce trail, it is a giant 800km trail that follows along the Niagara escarpment, and it is home to some of the best views in all of Ontario. Wiki link if you wish to learn more.

Anyway, three days alone in the woods, with nothing but my thoughts, time and distance to cover, an incredible experience to say the least. Here is but a glimpse at a few shots from my 3 days of treking.

Thanks everyone. Yeah, it was the north. I started out at halfway log dump and made my way to stormhaven and then on to cyprus lake before I turned around and made my way back. There were no bugs, it was pretty cool, getting down to 0 C overnight and it certainly didn't get much warmer during the day, maybe 5-7 C. It's a great time of year to do the bruce, no bugs, nice cool temps, great for hoofing it, and you're pretty much completely alone. I only ran into one other person in my three days, a nice older gentleman by the name of Bruce Millen, a fellow photographer. He was shooting at cyprus lake.
