I have hauled this lantern around for a year and used it once for about 10 minutes.
I'm just a headlamp and fire guy.

Like new condition. Everything works as it should. 2 extra packs of mantles included as well.

does the extra mantle put out noticably more light than the other two mantle models?

Yes I would say it is incredibly bright, however i'm not the best judge because I just don't camp around lanterns that often.
