It's just awesome reading about the regional variations in pricing.
Used trucks here are way too high. Have been for many years. In 2014 I was looking at used Rams, found a low km 2008 SXT that needed a CV and a spare wheel and tire, otherwise reasonable shape, was 18k. Brand new SXT Rams with Hemi and six speed were a promotion at $26900
I bought my 2014 F150 3.7 XLT for $31900 new, 5.0 versions were 34-35 at the time.
Plain 2014 XLTs with EcoBoost or 5.0 are low 20s still 5 years later.
Can grab new 2018s with 3.3 or 5.0 plain XLTs with an odd options for less than 35k, so why buy used? Get new vehicle, full warranty, no surprises.
As far as 3/4 tons, crew cab Short box F250 6.2 gasser 4x4 with FX4 package I priced out at around 50k last summer. Most mid trim or higher F150 can do less towing and less payload for a heck of a lot more money than 50 grand.
