Stifler's 5th GEN 4Runner

Been a Jeep guy all my life, mild to wild builds. Just bought a 2015 JKU and realized I missed my 2011 4runner (it was 2wd) so I traded the JKU in with only 2200 miles on it for a 2015 SR5 4runner 4x4.... this is the sacrificial virgin for my expedition build

thanks man.... I do love Jeeps.... but with a family and dog in tow and the thought of reaching 300k on the odo, this just made sense! So far plans are:

Front Runner Rack
Bilstein 6112s set to 2.5
Bilstein 5100s out back
Superlift rear spings
285/70r17 Duratracs

oh and scrap the OEM running boards! Might go with NFabs or nothing

I have the same ambitions for my Tacoma! Right now it has an OME kit, 886 springs, and Dakar Leaf Pack, with 5100 in the rear. I'll upgrade to 5160's out back when I get the 6112's for the front. I'll probably use a prinsu design studio rack, and homemade rock sliders.

So I scrapped the 6612 idea and went with an ICON stage 2 and 285 KO2s..... now just waiting for Brown Santa!

Pulled the factory running boards off and my N-FABs are scheduled to be here next week. Should have my Gobi Stealth next week as well found someone selling one state over

I too was a Jeep guy. Grew up in the back of my Dad's '77 Wagoner, my family has had 5 others. I drove my Cherokee for 13 years, and now have a Toyota, and love it. The only time I miss my Cherokee is at Easter time when I can't rock crawl like I used to (Tundra is just a little bigger). Great looking 4 Runner.

Jeep is like a gateway drug. I think most of us who are offroad enthusiasts were probably interested in Jeeps at some point.

The new Jeeps do make pretty nice offroaders with little effort, but I feel the Toyotas, even with the lack of aftermarket support, make a much nicer offroader. They just require more effort and money.

Wow. You traded in a 2015 for a 2015. That is interesting. Definitely seem like you made the right choice.

But don't let the Jeep guys know or you will come up missing. :imagesCADZQMBJ: lol, just kidding.

Great looking runner.
