The 1st camper van I ever had was a 88 Ford Class B with the real big high top. It had side windows up top and they made all the difference in the world. Having windows up top like that lets in a very good breeze. I'd highly suggest adding some if you are thinking about it.
Yeah, that's the same issue I had with the 1st top I started to build. I guess all in all I'm glad I switched to this second top mid way, because after mounting this one in place, I'm not 100% sure that the other top would of been tall enough to full stand up inside. It also was going to be tricky to mount my windows properly due to the more curved sides.
I know this is old, but do you have any installation details on how you attached the top to your van (adhesives, screws, etc)? After a year of use, has everything held up ok? Was it worth all the effort?
