Building an overland Taco. Where to start?

Yeah, I thought it looked really clean, but I noticed the tires are the really, really old style of BFG A/T. (I bought BFG a/t's 10 years ago, and they were the newer style with the side lug things.) So, those tires are at least 10 years old. :(

Also, I doubt the timing belt/water pump has been done.

Still, it's a clean truck...

Based on my experiance an xcab with a manual and 4cyl is the way to go. Mine is lifted locked and armored and i get 20mpg highway. My arb lockers, 255 maxxis tires, ome lift and 488 gears have not let me down offroad or on. I would drive any trail anytime with this arrangement.
