Just to clear the air, I am not trying to flip the 4Runner - if I was I would have taken an offer for more than I had in it last year (backstory below if you are bored).
After taking this out for a Toyota Jamboree I decided I wanted to get a tow rig (Dad got a larger boat and his the current tow rig was pushing the limit) and to build a trail rig or buggy that I could wheel and not worry about the body work. Instead of tearing apart the 4Runner on the trail I decided to sell it to someone who would use it the way it was built. The list price was high because I got tired of wasting time after listing it locally.
I had a long time member offer me more than I had in it (out the door price, sliders, winch, misc). I told him he could have it for less than his offer, just what I had in it, as long as he wheeled it a paid it forward when it was time to sell. We struck a deal and he got orders OCONUS the next day. I returned his deposit, wished him luck, and we’re going to catch up and wheel together (in a rig he got locally overseas) if I can get some time away from work later this year.
Thank you for looking and thanks to everyone who has pm’d me with questions on the build, advice on my next build, and compliments.
