BunduTop on Pickup Canopy Help

Good morning all,

We’re looking for some advice please.

We’ve got our hearts set on a BunduTop tent to use on a 2011 Hilux Double Cab pickup.

The pickup has a RSI smart canopy fitted with a square shaped Front Runner rack.

I prefer the tent to not overhang to the rear too much, and was wondering if anyone has a BunduTop fitted to a pickup canopy and how they supported the resulting overhang over the cab?

Thank you.

A mate of mine borrowed my Bundutec and fitted it to his D/C. I can't remember what canopy he has but its one of those RSI types.
He fitted it to a roof rack first and mounted the RR flat onto the canopy.

Thanks, it looks like he has a longer rack that overhangs with the canopy on the pictures. The standard RSI canopy is about 10 inches too short frustratingly but is an option. I had hoped that maybe front runner did a option to accommodate a slightly overhanging load which bolts straight to the edge but can’t seem to find any options.
BunduTop state a max of 600mm unsupported

Yea like I said, he mounted it onto a roof rack first (front runner I think) and then onto the canopy.
