BW1356 Indicator Switch Wiring

Hello,

I’m looking for some help with a wiring diagram or ideas on what could be affecting my setup.

I have a 2-pin 4x4 indicator switch that goes into the T-case. When I wired it outside the transfer case, it works like a normal switch, where pressing the ball/switch closes the circuit between the 2-pins and the indicator light I wired lights up.

When on the T-case, if I switch to 4Hi or 4Lo, the fuse I put in between the indicator light and 12V blows. I have not found out why this is happening, but thinking maybe the switch is grounded and the two leads are one for 4Lo and one for 4Hi, can anyone confirm?

Switch with two pins visible attached to T-case:

Thanks!!

I was able to confirm my theory, more details here: BW1356 Wiring.

@Verkstad i think the short is coming because 12V is coming into and out of the switch from two sources, while I assumed one was ground. I just need to separate the two pins.
