Bypass security system on GM vehicles

I have a problem with my "other" vehicle which is a 2009 Hummer H3. The security feature has gone haywire, sometimes the H3 starts and sometimes it doesn't. If it doesn't start it usually takes upwards of 10 minutes before the system allows it to start again. Rather annoying to say the least. Anyway after doing some research I stumbled upon this item...http://newrockies.com/


Seems kind of gimmicky but I'm desperate. Thoughts?

I am having the same problem. I heard it may be related to the huge GM recall.

papa....you must agree it is a VERY annoying problem!

More than annoying; I drove a couple hundred miles to pick up my Colorado and it would not start. Had to leave it until I figure something out.

A search on passlock at 355nation.com and coloradofans.com reveal a couple of other solutions, including disabling the Passlock system and getting it (and the light) overridden with a custom tune.

Some also suggest (and report success) with a simple cleaning of the key.
