Appreciate the input. Yeah, I'm still running the 19.5s and I think suspension is going to have to be on my short list since ditching the stock wheels and going to singles isn't in the budget at this point. Expansion joints and rough roads are pretty brutal and I have a few miles of dirt wash board I have to take to get to my property.

I wasn't fortunate enough to find a 4wd model but I will say given the weight and some decent lug drive tires I was pretty impressed. I got about 8" of snow the other day and purposely didn't put the chains on to see how bad it would be. I'd rather have the 4wd, but the limited slip rear works well.

If not for the beach sand driving that can be done here I’d be plenty happy with 2wd.
That would open up the options quite a bit!! The soft sand here would be impossible in 2wd.
Deavers seems like a solid choice. I’ve heard mixed reviews about the Kelderman airride front.

Had it out in the snow today.

Replaced Transfer case bushings
Well worth it. Eliminated a annoying driveline vibration that I was having.
Original part was discontinued, but these were close. With a bit of modification they fit perfectly.

I did not get the beach pass this yr. Been upstate a lot. Some friends are at Cupsogue at the end of Aug. may try to connect with them.

Have you ever gotten a beach pass with the Kodiak chassis? I am building my rig on a Class 7 truck and will be running 42" tires, which would be the only reason they could restrict me from driving on the beach.

Yes, I got the county pass previously. I believe that the county pass does not limit tire size. The state pass does. Not sure how strict they are with checking tire size.

What chassis are you building on
I’m interested.

Trying a experiment

Going to fit these Amazon dimmable RV LEDs into the stock light buckets.

3D printing some spacers do that they sit flush with the ceiling.
Got 2 to try. If it works I’ll fill all 6 holes

Right now i need to power the stock ambulance panel to turn on the interior lights. That system is not at all efficient.
Goal is to separate the basic 12v camping essentials from the main panel.
