C5500 Mobile Command Family overlander

What are the advantages or draw of the Isuzu NRR crew platform over the Kodiak?
For me - I may build a demountable habitat allowing a dual use vehicle (we have a farm and occasionally do some light construction too), international parts availablity - will eventually do the panamerican and could foresee shipping to Europe as well. Will likely end up a bit shorter overall (currently at 28’ bumper to bumper). A new challenge and a different style. I dig the European style expedition trucks.

Assuming you are looking at a 4x4 conversion? Would the conversion parts have the same availability?

Yes 4x.

My understanding is that they use primarily off the shelf readily available parts for the front axle / transfer case etc.

Just a note: I went through seven months of planning to do the NPR 4x4conversion myself with f450 axles and a divorce transfer case. However, with labor at $110hr, rebuilding all the parts and custom engineering, I did not like the results. I changed course in the end.
