CA Owners - Smog Results

I haven't gone through them...yet. I'm working on deciding whether to import a cruiser from South Africa or not. I called them and tried to ask them questions about the process, but they were really unhelpful and unwilling to answer any questions. They did tell me that every smog test they do is like $2500, and said it would be, on average, $7500 to get the vehicle CA ready.
